Kenya

Kenya is a country located in East Africa, straddling the equator and with a coastline in the Indian Ocean. It is best known as the home of safaris and one of the top holiday destinations in the world. Kenya comprises of unique wildlife, beautiful white sandy beaches and cultural diversity, with world famous national parks like the Maasai Mara, Tsavo, and Amboseli.

 

Highlights

Lake Nakuru National Park

The orphanage at The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust was founded in 1977; it’s the most successful orphan-elephant rescue and rehabilitation program in the world and one of the pioneering conservation organizations for wildlife and habitat protection in East Africa.

Elephant Orphanage

The giraffe centre was established to protect the endangered Rothschild giraffe, which is found in only in the grasslands of East Africa. One can have a very close view and encounter of these lovely animals whilst feeding them with food pellets in their mouth.

Giraffe Center

It is located 140KM north west of Nairobi. The lake is home to thousands, sometimes millions of flamingos nesting along the shores. It is also known for its frequent Rothschild giraffes, black rhinos and white rhino’s sightings. 

Maasai Mara Game Reserve

It is situated in south-west Kenya and is one of Africa’s greatest wildlife reserves. It is best known for the famous migration of wildebeest that happens usually between July and October.

Amboseli National Park

Amboseli National Park is in the southern part of Kenya, and it is best known for its large elephant herds and spectacular view of Mount Kilimanjaro, which is the highest mountain in Africa. 

 

Mombasa

Mombasa is an island connected to the mainland by ferries and bridges, and with a combination of both city and beach relaxation. It is a historical city with exotic old town featuring relaxing / and beautiful white sandy beaches.
